P656 VEHICLE INSPECTION AND VISITOR CONTROL CENTER   2

Background
The project includes the construction of a vehicle control center (VCC, 3.326 GSF), commercial vehicle inspection building (CVI, 860 GSF), four bay commercial vehicle inspection canopy (5,880 GSF), sentry booth (64 GSF), surface parking lot, and incidental related work. The VCC and CVI facilities will be single-story with reinforced concrete masonry walls, structural steel framing, and concrete slabs on-grade support by reinforced concrete spread footings.

Work Details
The construction project involves the construction, rehabilitation, and repairs of a visitor control center (VCC), commercial vehicle inspection building (CVI), four-bay commercial vehicle inspection canopy (VIC), and sentry booth (SB) to provide pass and identification services for visitors and government employees within the NAICS code listed of Entry Control Facilities at the Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico. The contract is firm-fixed price and the acquisition strategy is unrestricted, full and open. The contract completion date is within 755 calendar days after award, including time for bond approval.

Period of Performance
The work under this contract shall commence 15 days after award and shall be completed within 755 calendar days after contract award.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico in Virginia.
