Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is undertaking a project at the James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This project involves the decommissioning of two hydraulic elevators as part of the facility's renovation to ensure safety and compliance with environmental regulations. The goal is to safely lower the elevators and remove hydraulic fluids to minimize risks associated with abandoned equipment.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all tools, labor, and materials necessary for lowering two existing hydraulic elevators in the A-Wing of the facility. The tasks include:
1. Lowering passenger elevator #3 and the freight elevator onto appropriate supports to allow access to the elevator pits.
2. Disconnecting and capping all hydraulic lines/connections.
3. Removing all hydraulic fluids from all four hydraulic elevator systems (tank, piston, lines, etc.) and properly disposing of these fluids in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Providing documentation of proper hydraulic fluid disposal and recycling to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
5. Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines set by OSHA and other relevant authorities during all operations.

Period of Performance
The services outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW) must be completed within 60 days following contract award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center located at 440 S Houston Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74127.
