Background
The project, P347 DBB Perimeter Security Improvements at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, NCTS Cutler, Maine, is initiated to enhance Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features and ensure compliance with AT/FP regulations.
The goal is to implement physical security measures in accordance with the Department of Defense's Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings.
This initiative underscores the agency's commitment to safeguarding military installations and personnel.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of an entry control facility (ECF) featuring an entry control point fence, a guard and truck inspection office, a main entry canopy, a Pass and Identification office, and a restricted area security fence.
Specific tasks include:
- Installation of a chain link security fence with a sliding gate at the entry control point.
- Construction of the guard and truck inspection office using metal stud walls with cementitious siding and an exposed steel canopy structure.
- Erection of a single lane main entry canopy for identification checks, utilizing concrete structural elements and an exposed steel canopy structure.
- Renovation and enlargement of Building #129, the existing one-story security building, to accommodate necessary components for security personnel functions and the pass and identification office.
- Construction of a security fence surrounding the restricted area encompassing the entire peninsula.

Period of Performance
The work under this contract is required to be completed within 554 days after award.
