SEKI 342662 Demolish Ranger Station, Sequoia & Kin

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the demolition of a Government-owned structure located at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, California. The project aims to resolve safety and health hazards associated with an abandoned building that was damaged by a high wind event in 2022. The goal is to prepare the site for a new prototype housing building for Park staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Conducting an assessment of hazardous materials, including a hazardous material survey and physical assessment.

2. Demolishing and disposing of the structure and all accompanying site improvements, which includes:
a) Abating hazardous materials as necessary;
b) Removing a large tree that has fallen on the building, including its root ball;
c) Backfilling and regrading the site to ensure positive drainage;
d) Demolishing and disposing of the entire building and all its components;
e) Removing and disposing of all appliances, furniture, and other items within or on the building;
f) Removing concrete stem walls, footings, garage slabs, concrete steps, sidewalks, and any associated pavement;
g) Removing all electrical panels, conduit, wiring, water fixtures, and sewer fixtures.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from March 1, 2025 to May 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks in California.
