Demolish Outdated Infrastructure to Enhance the Visitor Experience, LAKE 284991 Lake Mead Recreational Area, Clark County, Nevada
Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Denver Service Center (DSC), is soliciting proposals as a Total Small Business set-aside from all interested small businesses having the capability to perform the work described below. The project aims to enhance the visitor experience at Lake Mead National Park in Clark County, Nevada by demolishing outdated infrastructure and returning the sites to their natural conditions. The project will remove unneeded, abandoned, and potentially dangerous structures and supporting infrastructure, eliminating serious safety risks to park staff and improving scenic views.

Work Details
The project will require the design and construction of the demolition of facilities at Boulder Beach, Echo Bay, and Overton Beach. This includes decommissioning water and wastewater systems, demolishing various buildings such as the Echo Bay Motel, concession facilities, a ranger station, housing units, a campground, a launch ramp, and all associated roads and parking areas, as well as conducting hazardous materials abatement as necessary at all project locations. The sites will be regraded and contoured to blend into the surrounding topography to facilitate proper storm water runoff and minimize erosion.
