P-8A Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) Integration   2

The Naval Air Systems Command awarded a contract modification on the LRASM delivery order (N00019-21-G-0006 DO N00019-21-F-0876) to reduce the engineering analysis and reporting requirements for loads fleet certification and extend the airworthiness flight testing.

The effort was procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(l) and FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The Boeing P-8A team is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Boeing 737-S00ERX P-8A airframe, as well as the sole integrator of systems, and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requiremetns on a timely basis.

It was determined that a CPFF contract action was the appropriate contract type pursuant to DFARS 235.006(b)(ii)(A). This is a development program with uncertanties related to the Increment 3 requiremetns making CPFF applicable and a fixed -price type contract inapplicable.
