Description

On 15 April 2022, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded order modification N000191922F0945P00001 under P-8A Engine Depot Maintenance and Repair Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) N0001918D0113 to The Boeing Company (Boeing), Seattle, WA, under an exception to the fair opportunity process. In accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), the modification was issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract. The Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity (JEFO) is attached to this Notice. The two IDIQ MAC contractors are Standard Aero [Contract N0001918D0110] and Boeing [Contract N0001918D0113]. Pursuant to and in accordance with each contract, NAVAIR conducted a competition between the two IDIQ contractors for Option Period 4 (FY2022 ordering period). Boeing was selected as the Designated Engine Field Assessment and Repair Awardee. Prior to this modification, the order procured P-8A Engine Field Assessment and Repair via an Engine Field Assessment and Repair CLIN and a Travel CLIN. The modification procures additional Engine Field Assessment and Repair and Travel for which an exception to fair opportunity is not required. The modification also procures Life Limited Parts support as a logical follow on under the authority of the attached JEFO. The total dollar value of the modification is $537,291.30, with performance to be completed by October 2022. This notice is provided for information only.
