Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Operations Building at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA. The project aims to upgrade and provide adequate infrastructure to support current operational requirements for the Naval Special Warfare Development Group.

This contract is part of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for general construction primarily in the Hampton Roads Area of Responsibility.

Work Details
The project involves interior renovations to 1,426 square meters (15,352 square feet) of an existing building. Key tasks include upgrading facility-related control systems with cybersecurity features that meet current Department of Defense criteria.

The work will encompass the installation and upgrade of information systems including basic telephone, computer network, fiber optic, cable television, security, and fire alarm systems. Special costs include Post Construction Contract Award Services (PCAS), Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction monitoring, and cybersecurity commissioning.

The design will incorporate Department of Defense principles for high performance and sustainable building requirements, including low impact development features and energy efficiency measures.

Period of Performance
The duration of this task order shall be 410 calendar days from the date of award, which includes 15 calendar days for submission and approval of bonds and insurance. If certain bid options are exercised, completion may be adjusted to 370 days from award.
