Ozark T53 (series) Engine Repairs

Background
The United States Department of State (DoS), Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office of Aviation (INL/A) provides aviation support for various missions including drug eradication and personnel recovery. INL/A maintains a fleet of UH-1H II aircraft powered by Honeywell/Ozark T53-L-703 engines and requires overhaul, repair, and modification services to maintain operational readiness.

Work Details
The contract involves the overhaul, repair, and modification of DoS provided Honeywell/Ozark T53 (series) engines to the most current OEM specifications. This includes compliance with all applicable OEM repair and overhaul specifications, OEM Service Bulletins, Service Letters, Service Instructions, and FAA Airworthiness Directives. The contractor must also recondition aging and damaged T53-L-703 shipping and storage containers to serviceable condition. Specific tasks include inspection, testing, troubleshooting, cleaning, overhaul, repair, modification, and preservation of engine power units, modules, components to current OEM configurations while maintaining specific requirements for return to service in a Ready For Issue condition.
