Overhead Door Alarm replacement

Background
The Atlanta VA Medical Center is seeking a one-time service for the removal and replacement of the overdoor alarm and the anti-ligature system on the mental health floor. This requirement aims to enhance patient safety and security within the facility, which is crucial for maintaining a delicate balance in a mental health environment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Removal of the existing overdoor alarm system.
2. Replacement of the overdoor alarm with a new system that meets current safety standards.
3. Installation of an updated anti-ligature system on the mental health floor to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The work must be performed with minimal disruption to staff and patients, adhering to a proposed schedule that will be developed by the contractor and approved by the VA.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will commence upon contract award and shall not exceed 180 days for completion of all tasks outlined in the performance requirements.
