Out of Production Materials for Abrams Family Vehicles   5

Background
This is a follow-on contract sole sourced to GDLS. The contract is for the procurement and management of obsolescence material for the Abrams Family of Vehicles. The contractor will manage and control the resources necessary for procurement and storage of obsolete hardware until a new component can be designed, validated, and produced to meet the technical data and product fabrication specifications of the Abrams Tank System.

Work Details
The contract includes specific Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for different program management offices such as the Abrams Program Management Office, Armored Maneuver Group, Combat Maneuver and Recovery Group Joint Assault Bridge, and others. The contractor is responsible for tracking the production status of components, maintaining an out-of-production management database, conducting semi-annual physical inventories, and submitting monthly status reports. Additionally, the contractor will transfer out-of-production material to support Abrams production or spares efforts.

Period of Performance
The period of performance varies for different CLINs. For example, CLIN 1002 has a period of performance from 5 June 2025 through 4 June 2026.

Place of Performance
The place of performance includes various locations such as origin and destination points for inspection, acceptance, and deliveries or performances.
