OSW - MDA - Cybersecurity Services - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing comprehensive cybersecurity services for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure the protection of MDA's digital infrastructure and sensitive data against cyber threats and attacks. This effort is critical due to the highly networked nature of the Missile Defense System, which plays a vital role in national security by defending against missile threats.

The MDA, operating under the Department of War, is tasked with developing, deploying, and sustaining integrated missile defense capabilities. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to protect the United States and its allies from missile attacks at all stages. Given this context, cybersecurity becomes an essential component to safeguard not only sensitive data but also ensure uninterrupted operation and integrity of defense systems. As such, MDA's cybersecurity strategy involves collaboration with industry partners as well as other Departmental organizations to uphold high standards in cyber resilience.

The scope of work for this contract includes providing comprehensive cybersecurity services across MDA's enterprise. This entails deploying teams consisting of security analysts, engineers, and IT professionals who will work collaboratively to protect digital assets through proactive threat detection, analysis, incident response, and mitigation strategies. The operations will be managed from two Continuity Of Operations (COOP) sites located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs and Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. These sites will function interchangeably as backup facilities for each other.

Additionally, quarterly planning sessions will be conducted to determine objectives for iterative testing cycles aimed at enhancing cybersecurity measures continuously. This structured approach ensures that all aspects related to protecting MDA's digital infrastructure are addressed comprehensively while maintaining operational readiness against sophisticated cyber threats.
