OSD NGA - Archimedes - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), is conducting market research to support a project titled "Archimedes: NGA Enterprise and Segment/Solutions Engineering." This initiative aims to enhance the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) capabilities by leveraging advanced systems engineering and technology solutions. The overarching goal is to modernize NGA's infrastructure and improve its operational efficiency in handling geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) data.

The work being requested involves a comprehensive suite of engineering services, including enterprise-level and segment-level systems engineering. Respondents are expected to demonstrate their expertise in full lifecycle systems engineering, which encompasses requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, verification, validation, and technical assessments. Additionally, companies are encouraged to showcase their experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies as well as their ability to modernize legacy software systems using resilient and secure development practices such as DevSecOps.

Furthermore, the solicitation emphasizes the need for innovative solutions that can support NGA's adoption of advanced computing technologies. This includes supercomputing, cloud computing, data storage solutions, and computing architectures. Companies with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies are particularly sought after for their potential contributions to enhancing NGA's GEOINT capabilities. The proposal also calls for expertise in modular open systems architecture (MOSA) to facilitate rapid technology upgrades.

In addition to technical capabilities, respondents must address enterprise architecture development by providing roadmaps for automation, AI integration, cloud infrastructure planning, cybersecurity improvements, and IT infrastructure alignment with strategic goals. Companies should also describe their processes for ensuring end-to-end requirement traceability across system components while maintaining alignment with evolving technology trends and mission requirements.
