The General Services Administration (GSA) is conducting market research on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) to explore best practices and solutions for utilizing MongoDB licenses in application development and IT support. This initiative aims to gather valuable insights that will inform a future procurement strategy, ensuring that the organization can leverage MongoDB's capabilities effectively while maintaining compliance with licensing terms.

MongoDB is a leading NoSQL database known for its flexibility and scalability, offering several licensing options such as the Server Side Public License (SSPL), Community Server License, and commercial licenses. The primary goal of this research is to understand how these licenses can be assessed, selected, and implemented efficiently. The scope of this Request for Information (RFI) includes gathering detailed information on several key areas: best practices for MongoDB license assessment and compliance; strategies for implementing and optimizing MongoDB deployments; approaches to providing effective IT support under different licensing models; and recommendations for leveraging MongoDB features in various scenarios. The RFI also requests insights into customization, integration, support, maintenance solutions, as well as industry standards related to MongoDB license utilization.
