Background
The United States Department of the Navy’s Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT) is issuing a sole-source justification for the procurement of engines necessary for the lifecycle sustainment of the SV-64 vessel class.

The contract will be awarded to MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the SV-64 engine, which is essential for maintaining operational capabilities through its planned end-of-life in approximately 2035.

MTU is the sole designer and producer of this engine, possessing exclusive proprietary technical data and manufacturing expertise.

Work Details
The contract entails the production and delivery of twenty (20) new OEM MTU 10V2000M92 engines, with an option for five (5) additional engines.
