LOCATION: This project is located approximately 1 mile W of Falls City in Polk County, Oregon.

WORK: This project consists of grading, drainage, base, paving, walls, and construction of a 1-span, 113-foot long precast, prestressed concrete deck bulb-tee girder bridge. Abutments are founded on spread footings. The work also includes construction of a temporary detour bridge and demolition of the existing steel truss bridge.

ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $6 million and $10 million.

Background
The solicitation is for the OR FLAP POLK MITCHELL(1), Mitchell Street and Black Rock Road Reconstruction project. Additionally, the geotechnical scope of work includes a visual reconnaissance along the proposed alignment, a subsurface exploration program consisting of two geotechnical test borings near the planned bridge abutments, laboratory soil and rock testing, preparation of interim memorandums, participation in bridge foundation selection meetings.
