Site Visit for DLA Operations Support Facility Chibana Compound, Kadena Air Base

Date: Wednesday, 18 May 2022

Site Visit Start: 9:00 a.m., JST

Location: Participants will meet at the DLA Chibana Compound

All contractors attending the site visit must have registered by no later than 10 May 2022 with the Government POC as indicated in the solicitation. Contractors with a Kadena AB pass may proceed to the front of building 53117. Contractors requiring base access must meet at the DLA Chibana Compound gate area at 0830 for Government representatives to provide escort to the site.

Parking on the Chibana Compound is limited. We ask contractors to carpool to the maximum extent possible. If the parking is full, contractors may utilize spillover parking indicated in the map attached (Attachment: DLA Site Visit Spillover Parking).

THIS IS AN INVITATION FOR BID SOLICITATION

This soliciation is for the construction of a new Defense Logistics Agency Operations Support Facility on the Chibana Compound, Kadena AB, Okinawa Japan. This project will provide a modern operations headquarters to replace the eight existing administrative buildings within the Chibana Compound. The project has planned phasing as existing facilities will be occupied during construction of the new larger facility and will be demolished once the building is constructed and offices have relocated to the new central space. This is a Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) contract. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, Mobilization, Demolition, Abatement Work, Disposal, Construction of Operations Support Building, Phasing, Construction of Supporting Facilities, Electrical Utilities, Communication Utilities, Water and Sewer Utilities, Site Preparation, Roads, Sidewalks, Parking, Site Improvements, Landscaping, Low Impact Development, Environmental Mitigation, and Demobilization.
