Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District intends to issue a solicitation for Operation and Maintenance services at the John H. Kerr Reservoir Project, located in Boydton, Virginia.

Operations and Maintenance of the government owned facilities at the site shall include planning, programming, administration, management, supervision, maintenance of accurate and complete records and files, quality control inspections, personnel, materials, supplies, parts, tools, equipment and vehicles, except as otherwise provided. This Project is comprised of a 50,000 acre reservoir and an additional 55,000 acres of surrounding land. The 900 miles of wooded are located in three counties in Virginia and three counties in North Carolina. The shoreline allows visitors the ability to boat, fish, camp, swim, picnic, hike, and hunt. Four of the nine campgrounds are operated by the Corps of Engineers. These campgrounds provide tent and trailer camping at both primitive and water/electric sites with boat ramps, bath facilities, beaches, playgrounds and hiking trails. In addition to campgrounds, the Corps of Engineers also operates several other day-use facilities for boat launching, swimming and picnicking. Intensive wildlife management techniques are employed in twenty-six developed areas, consisting of over 10,000 acres of land.

The solicitation will be issued on or about 2 July 2020. The anticipated pre-proposal conference/site visit will be determined at a later date. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for Section 8(a) Small Businesses, as determined by the Small Business Administration. It is the Government's intent to award a single Firm Fixed Price contract. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 561210, with a small business size standard of $41,500,000.00. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded for a base period of one year with four (4), one (1) year option periods. There is no guarantee that options for follow-on years will be exercised.
Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
