Description

The action resulted in a modification that incorporated FAR clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, to the order, and added Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) for the orginally awarded two requirements (3.1 and 3.2) that were not previously evaluated at time of award.

Background
The Space Acquisition and Integration Office (SAIO) is responsible for supporting the United States Space Force (USSF) and Combat Forces Command (CFC) in providing resilient and affordable space capabilities for the Joint Force and National Agencies.

The Operations Capability Support (OPSCAP) task order aims to enhance the readiness and training of space forces for Combatant Commander missions through critical planning, testing, and execution of joint and national exercise programs.

Work Details
The contract includes technical system analysis, programmatic support, analytical staffing, threat assessments, requirements development, operational training, studies, mission analysis, concept development, integration analysis, policy and doctrine analysis, operations acceptance analyses, inspection support, and test and evaluation.

Specifically, it adds two Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs): CLIN 5001 for Exercises Staff Support and CLIN 5002 for Weapons, Tactics, and Training. This modification is necessary to ensure continuity of mission support services that were not evaluated at the time of the original award.
