Background
The solicitation is for the installation of two 13.8/161kV Generator Step-Up (GSU) transformers and two 500kVA distribution transformers at the Old Hickory Power Plant in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The estimated magnitude of this requirement is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The award will be made to the responsible Offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and offers the best overall value to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with appropriate consideration given to past performance, technical approach, safety, and small business participation plan.

Work Details
The scope of work includes installing government-furnished transformers, replacing existing equipment, developing complex power cutover plans, engineering multidisciplinary solutions for various tasks, developing detailed plans for modifying existing equipment, developing safety plans and conducting hazard analysis. Maintaining safe work conditions during multiple work shifts at an operating plant. Removal and disposal of existing equipment. Modifying and extending the switchyard ground mat and fencing. Installing new transformers and associated equipment. Trenching for the installation of precast concrete trenches in the switchyard, and switchyard bus 69Kv disconnects.

Period of Performance
The performance period is negotiable after receiving the award notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Old Hickory Power Plant in Hendersonville, TN.
