Oil Water Separator Annual Cleaning and Repair

Background
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (the Center) is a trust instrumentality of the U.S. Government and serves as a living Presidential memorial. The Center is dedicated to presenting performing arts programming and educational activities, attracting over three million visitors annually. It operates 365 days a year and houses multiple theaters, restaurants, and event spaces.

This contract aims to solicit services for the annual cleaning and maintenance of four oil/water separators (OWS) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform yearly pumping of four oil/water separators located in the Level C Garage at the Center. Tasks include:
1) Removal of large debris from the OWS pits;
2) Rinsing oil/grease off sidewalls and basin;
3) Inspection of OWS pit walls for damage;
4) Draining, inspecting, and pumping oil/sludge from the traps;
5) Performing maintenance/repair services as needed, including repairs to pit walls, lids/covers, pumps/controls, and separator pipes;
6) Maintaining records of on-demand repairs;
7) Complying with DCMR and EPA regulations;
8) Scheduling annual maintenance cycles with the COR;
9) Providing reports on cleanouts within three days;
10) Ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is a base period ending September 30, 2025, with four one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, located at 2700 F Street NW, Washington, DC 20566-0001.
