Office of Secure Transportation (OST) Federal Agent Medical Direction, Training and Support Services

Background
The Office of Secure Transportation (OST) is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of nuclear materials and personnel. The goal of this contract is to provide Federal Agent Medical Direction, Training, and Support Services to enhance the medical capabilities of OST Federal Agents (FAs). This contract aims to consolidate all medical services and support efforts under one vendor to ensure a cohesive medical program that aligns with established protocols.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide specialized basic and advanced hands-on medical training for OST FA Medics, enabling them to deliver lifesaving emergency care during tactical or non-tactical incidents. This includes:
- Initial Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course tailored to OST's schedule, with students sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam.
- Sustainment training covering treatment for injuries anticipated in attacks against OST.
- Additional training for select FA Medics on trauma treatment in vehicle accidents and managing on-duty illnesses.
- Provision of a licensed Medical Director who will oversee medical direction, authorize care provided by FA Medics, and issue written protocols defining authorized medical procedures.
- A 24/7 helpline staffed by qualified physicians for online Medical Direction.
- Logistics management including procurement of medications, medical supplies, and equipment; tracking expiration dates; and maintaining necessary licenses for controlled substances.

The services will be performed at various locations as required by OST operations.
