Description

1. Contract Requirement: This Performance Work Statement (PWS) is DLA Energy Middle East's requirement to procure new furniture (Ergonomic Furniture) to replace all cubicle, office workstations, and associated furniture in buildings 289 and 292 on Naval Support Activity (NSA I) Bahrain. The contractor shall disassemble, remove, and dispose of thirty eight (38) existing workstations before installation of new workstations and furniture as specified below, except as noted in paragraph 3.5.3. No Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be provided. The Contractor is responsible for all resources (manpower and equipment) utilized in the disassembly, removal, disposal, and installation of furniture.

2. Performance Requirements: The contractor shall design/configure workstations and storage as follows: 27 new, integrated cubicle workstations in five floors of open office space and 11 private office workstations in 8 private office areas of buildings 289 and 292. Design/configure two new, integrated executive workstations in the executive suite of building 289 and design/configure a standing workstation to support IT hardware in building 292, as broken down below. All open space cubicles have to be the same size. All private office workstations must be of similar size and build, dependent on office dimensions restrictions. Chairs must conform to current industry standard for ergonomic health. Contractor will run necessary power and network cables (LAN, Cat 5, etc.) through each workstation. Additionally, contractor will remove from 2nd floor building 292 two (2) broken workstations and replace with one (1) existing left and one (1) existing right corner workstation removed from the 1st floor.

3. Deliverables: The contractor will provide final design and all costs associated with this job in final hard copy and Microsoft Office compatible format(s).

4. Task: The contractor shall meet with DLA Energy Middle East at NSA Bahrain Building 292, Deputy Director (Mr. Bruce Jones), Staff Support Chief (Ms. Tracy Sims), Operations Chief (Major Sharon Large), and Quality Manager (Mr. Christopher Ricketson) with their plan of action within 15 days of award of the contract.

4.1. The contractor will provide a walk through prior to the completion of the contract.

5. Key Personnel: The contractor shall make no substitution of key personnel unless the substitution is necessitated by illness, death, or termination of employment. The Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer (KO) within 5 calendar days after the occurrence of any of these events and provide a detailed explanation of the circumstances necessitating the proposed substitutions, complete resumes for the proposed substitutes, and any additional information requested by the KO. Proposed substitutes should have comparable qualifications to those of the person(s) being replaced. The KO will notify the Contractor of the decision on the substitutes within 3 calendar days after receipt of all required information.

6. Period of Performance: The period of performance for this delivery order is October 4, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

7. Place of Performance: The work will be performed at DLA-Energy Middle East, Buildings 289 & 292, NSA I Bahrain, Juffair, Bahrain.
