THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR SERVICES PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6 AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THE SOLICITATION NUMBER IS 70Z030PCLEV0018. THIS COMBINED SYNOPSIS CONSTITUTES A SOLICITATION AND INCORPORATES PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES IN EFFECT THROUGH FEDERAL ACQUISITION CIRCULAR 2007. THIS ACQUISITION IS SET ASIDE SMALL BUSINESS. THE NAICS IS 423210. THE SMALL BUSINESS SIZED STANDARD IS 500. THE CONTRACT TYPE WILL BE A FIRM FIXED PRICE PURCHASE ORDER.THE EVALUATION STRATEGY IS LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE.

ALL QUOTES WILL ARE REQUIRED TO BE ON A BUSINESS LETTER HEAD TO INCLUDE A BREAKDOWN OF ESTIMATED MATERIALS NEEDED, LABOR, MAN HOURS, AND NUMBER OF WORKERS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE PROECT.

The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this synopsis/solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be more advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.

VENDORS DOING BUSINESS WITH THE COAST GUARD MUST BE REGISTERED OR BE WILLING TO REGISTER WITH SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT AT WWW.SAM.GOV.

FAR CLAUSES 52.237-1 SITE VISIT AND 52.237-2 PROTECTION OF GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT, AND VEGETATION ARE APPLICABLE.

Background
The United States Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center Engineering Services Division Planning Branch seeks to procure modular office furniture and installation services to improve space utilization and storage capacities within approximately 775 square feet of administrative space on the second floor of the Sector Lake Michigan Administrative Building.

Work Details
Supply and install office furniture per the Statement of Work. Furniture includes modular systems furniture (standard workstations WS-2E, touch-down workstations WS-7A), seating (Herman Miller Aeron or equal), storage components (lateral file cabinets, uniform lockers), and private office desks with pedestals.
Furniture shall meet specified materials, finishes, dimensions, power and data integration, wire management, and warranty requirements.
Installation shall occur during normal business hours and be coordinated with the Contracting Officer’s Representative and general contractor.
Contractor responsibilities include evaluating staging and delivery logistics, providing necessary hardware for panel connections, submitting CAD confirmations and elevation drawings for power and data locations, documenting any deviations, and offering value engineering recommendations post-award.
All components must meet ANSI/BIFMA standards and be covered by a minimum 10-year, 24/7 warranty including parts and labor.

Period of Performance
Installation shall take place during normal business hours and be completed no later than the close of business 30 days following award of contract unless otherwise approved.
The overall schedule is to be determined in coordination with the government.
