The United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is requesting information for the Office of Chief Information Office (OCIO) for contracted support to ensure FBI's enterprise's compliance with the May 12, 2021, Executive Order #14028 on Improving the Nation's Cybersecurity which is focused on Charting New Course to Improve the Nation's Cybersecurity and Protect Federal Government Networks .

Background
The United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is requesting information for the Office of Chief Information Office (OCIO) for contracted support to ensure FBI’s enterprise’s compliance with the May 12, 2021, Executive Order #14028 on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity which is focused on “Charting New Course to Improve the Nation’s Cybersecurity and Protect Federal Government Networks”.

Work Details
The FBI cybersecurity program’s primary responsibility is to provide remote and deployed cybersecurity services that continuously enhance the FBI’s security posture, identify true risk to missions, respond to security incidents, and actively hunt for vulnerabilities and threat activity on FBI systems and networks. Specific items called out from the Executive Order include but not limited to: Modernize cybersecurity defenses by protecting federal networks, improving information-sharing between the U.S. government and the private sector on cyber issues, and strengthening the United States’ ability to respond to incidents when they occur.
Modernize and Implement Stronger Cybersecurity Standards in the Federal Government.
Improve Detection of Cybersecurity Incidents on Federal Government Networks, thus improving the ability to detect malicious cyber activity on federal networks by enabling a government-wide endpoint detection and response system and improved information sharing within the Federal government.
Improve Investigative and Remediation Capabilities by creating cybersecurity event log requirements for federal departments and agencies. The OCIO seeks private sector recommendations on how to leverage industry best practices in the FBI’s environments to ensure compliance.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is estimated to start August 2023 and is estimated to be a 5-year award with a base period and 4 option periods.

Place of Performance
The primary places of performance will be at FBI facilities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Quantico, VA; Huntsville, Alabama; Clarksburg, WV; or Pocatello, ID. This support may be extended to include FBI Field Offices. Intermittent travel to other FBI facilities in the United States or internationally may be required.
