Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified sources capable of meeting the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) requirement for Non-Expendable Equipment, specifically for Medtronic® Model 5392 and Model 53401 Pacemakers: Cardiac External or equivalent products.

Work Details
The contract involves the provision of the following items:
1. Dual Chamber Temporary Pacemaker (Medtronic 5392)
- Includes two LR6-sized (AA-sized) Alkaline Batteries
- IV Pole Hanger
- Carrying Case
- Literature and Training

2. Single Chamber Temporary Pacemaker (Medtronic 53401)
- Includes two LR6-sized (AA-sized) Alkaline Batteries
- IV Pole Hanger
- Carrying Case
- Literature and Training

The devices must meet the following salient characteristics:
- SC 1: Clearly visible indicators or display features such as pacing rate, sensitivity, output values, pacing status, sensing status, pacing mode, delivery of a pacing pulse, sensed event, battery status, lock status and warnings/alerts.
- SC 2: User-adjustable controls to adjust pacemaker parameters such as pacing mode, rate, output, and sensitivity.
- SC 3: Battery powered and capable of operating using replaceable batteries.
- SC 4: For external cardiac pacing use without requiring surgical implantation.
- SC 5: Protective cover or lockout feature to prevent accidental changes to settings.
- SC 6: Pacing runaway protection feature to prevent unsafe high-rate pacing output.
- SC 7 (for CLIN 0001): Dual chamber pacing capability.
- SC 8 (for CLIN 0002): Single chamber pacing capability.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide descriptive literature demonstrating that their products meet or exceed the salient characteristics specified. Responses can include any additional product that may be beneficial.
