Background
The Red Rock Trail project is initiated by the Bureau of Land Management, in collaboration with the Nevada Department of Transportation and Clark County Public Works. The project aims to enhance accessibility and promote recreational activities in the environmentally sensitive area adjacent to the Red Rock Conservation Area, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The goal is to construct a multi-use trail and pedestrian bridge while also improving State Highway 159.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of approximately 1 mile of paved multi-use trail, widening of State Highway 159 for additional turn lane width, and construction of a 210-foot pedestrian bridge utilizing drilled shafts. The project will be divided into Schedule A, which encompasses all trail and bridge work, and Option X, which pertains to improvements related to State Highway 159. Key tasks involve:
- Clearing and grubbing for site preparation.
- Excavation and embankment for trail alignment.
- Construction of earthwork geosynthetics for stabilization.
- Implementation of soil erosion and sediment control measures.
- Mobilization of equipment and materials necessary for construction activities.
- Quality control measures including contractor sampling and testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
