NUWCDIVNPT Code 25 Covered Hardware Evaluation and Repair   3

Background
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is issuing this solicitation for the evaluation and repair of covered hardware, specifically components used in submarine platforms. This contract is being solicited on a sole source basis to Raytheon (RTX) due to the unique capabilities and expertise required for this work.

The goal of the contract is to ensure that critical components for the Universal Weapon Launcher (UWL) system and Weapon Launch Console Integrated Enclosure (WLCIE) remain operable for Seawolf-Class and Virginia-Class submarines.

Work Details
The contractor will perform evaluation and repair services on covered hardware, which includes Digital Discrete Card (DDC) Modules, Advanced Capability (ADCAP) Assemblies, AC and DC Relays, Wire Guide Assemblies, and NOVA Weapon Power Converters.

Specific tasks include:
1. Issuing a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within two business days of task order issuance.
2. Confirming receipt of Government Furnished Property (GFP) within five business days of receipt.
3. Testing and evaluating each unit within thirty calendar days of receipt to determine repairability.
4. Providing an evaluation report for all GFP delivered back to NUWCDIVNPT if unrepairable.
5. Shipping costs for unrepairable GFP will be covered under the contract's Firm Fixed Price CLINs.

Period of Performance
The estimated date of contract award is July 1, 2025, with performance expected to commence shortly thereafter; specific dates will be updated at award based on actual contract timelines.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the contractor's facility.
