NSWCCD Bldg. 2. Room B128: B128A, B132, B132A and B132B PROJECT   2

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is responsible for managing the Facilities Planning Branch, which oversees Workspace Management (WSM) projects that support command mission goals. This includes infrastructure management for classified and unclassified spaces, security equipment, data/phone systems, minor construction, and furniture for over 3,000 employees at the NSWCCD Naval Base in Bethesda, MD, and its detachment sites across the U.S.

Due to mission requirements for Class II real property accountability and maintenance of facilities infrastructure, additional contractor support is needed for construction, furniture installation, and Quality Assurance (QA) services. The Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the necessary efforts to procure and execute renovations in Building 2, Rooms B128, B128A, B132, B132A, and B132B.

Work Details
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to renovate approximately 1,261 square feet of office space in Building 2. The work includes:
- Demolition of existing flooring;
- Installation of new carpet tile;
- Preparation and painting of wall surfaces;
- Removal of a sliding door and patching surfaces;
- Closing an opening between rooms with drywall;
- Leveling floors;
- Repairing water damage;
- Replacing exposed piping insulation;
- Framing and enclosing exposed piping with drywall.

Additionally, the Contractor will provide Allsteel brand name furniture as per GSA pricing standards. Required furniture includes 12 standard modular Allsteel cubicles and 12 Lyric Task Chairs. The Contractor must ensure all work complies with applicable codes such as the International Building Code (IBC).

Period of Performance
All renovation work shall be completed by September 30, 2025. Furniture delivery and installation must be completed within 180 calendar days of contract award.
