NSWC IHD BXXX Facility Renovation   2

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is seeking contractors with the technical expertise and resources to renovate a 15,000 square foot building into a production facility at NSWC Indian Head, Maryland. This project aims to enhance the facility's capabilities in line with specific design specifications.

Work Details
The renovation will include extensive demolition and construction tasks such as: removing all interior walls, equipment, lighting, electrical connections, existing HVAC equipment, exterior doors and associated stairs/landings, landscaping and fencing for new additions, canopies and support framing, cranes and support columns, interior monorail system, concrete apron, fire alarm items including sprinkler piping, portions of exterior walls and roof for new openings, floor slab sections for new equipment supports and crane footings, roof-mounted vents, cooling well at the building exterior, roof ladder, bollards, steam oven doors, and mechanical equipment steam lines.

New construction will involve: constructing new exterior CMU walls and roofs; installing air receiver tanks; an emergency generator; switchboards; industrial equipment; compressed air filters; hot water and chilled water pumps; variable frequency drivers; steam and condensate systems; gutters/downspouts; concrete aprons; retaining walls; eye wash stations; emergency showers; a new electrical room with systems and transformer; utility connections for large process equipment; HVAC equipment with industrial dehumidification systems; interior framed walls; covering an existing concrete pit with a traffic-rated cover; a new mechanical shed for pump house; paved parking area; new bollards and exterior doors with stairs/landings; roof ladder installation; framed openings at exterior walls; four custom-made three-ton overhead bridge cranes with supports; fire protection scope throughout the facility; curing steam oven room doors; AHU & associated penthouse enclosure above existing steam ovens; walk pads with fall protection & snow guards on the roof.

The renovation projects will take place at NSWC Indian Head in Maryland.
