Description

This is a market survey to locate sources of supply (manufacturer or Suppliers) for NSN 5820-01-432-8370, Part Number A3249865-1 (CAGE Code: 80063) Handset Assembly Handheld, Remote Control Radio Device (HRCRD), C-12493/U. The HRCRD is used as part of the Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) manpack radio set, AN/PRC-119 and all vehicular configurations AN/VRC-87 thru AN/VRC-92. The HRCRD is used in place of the H-250 Handset to provide selected remote control of all versions of the SINCGARS Receiver-Transmitter (RT). The HRCRD shall control Cipher Text/Plain Text (CT/PT), Radio Frequency (RF) Power, Channel Preset, Volume, and Frequency Hop/Single Channel (FH/SC).

Technical Data Package (TDP) for manufacture and acceptance of this item is available from the Government. The complete TDP, which include top-level drawings, the associated parts list, component level drawings, test requirements for manufacture and acceptance of this item, will be released along with the solicitation, but can be released prior to the release of the solicitation upon request. The TDP for this item is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This information shall not be provided to non-U.S. persons or transferred by any means to any location outside the United States Department of State. Interested source wishing to request for the TDP of this item must demonstrate that your company has an active status in the Defense Logistics Agency Joint Certification Program (JCP) when submitting request to the Government Point of Contract.

This HRCRD, C-12493/U contains an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) for handheld remote control radio device application (reference to Drawing A3262649). It is potentially that the suggested source of source of supply listed on the drawing may no longer manufacture this ASIC. The manufacturer of the HRCRD will be responsible to locate a viable source for the ASIC or redesign the LCD PWB Assembly (reference to Drawing A3262640), where the ASIC is used, to incorporate a newer technology. First Article Test (FAT) will be required for this acquisition.
