NSLS-II INF (Infrared Nano-Imaging Facility) Beamline Photon Delivery System

Background
Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory multidisciplinary research facility, located on Long Island, New York. BNL intends to compete the requirement for the INF Photon Delivery System, to be utilized within the United States, as a Total Small Business set-aside. The INF Photon Delivery System will be used on the Infrared Nano-spectroscopy Facility (INF) beamline at the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).

Work Details
The INF Photon Delivery System comprises a custom storage ring vacuum chamber, an Ultra-High Vacuum Optical Extraction System, and a rough vacuum beam transport section with switching mirrors. The Contractor's responsibilities include design, engineering, purchase of all materials, manufacturing, assembly, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the Equipment. The Contractor shall also provide spare parts and special tools, conduct installation and commissioning of the Equipment at BNL, and provide hands-on training for BSA personnel. Detailed design requirements include providing PDR and FDR reports reflecting the state of the developed design. The Contractor shall also provide an Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) that documents and ensures all test requirements are achieved.

The contract work will be performed at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, New York.
