THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued in accordance with FAR Part 15.201(e) Exchanges with Industry and is being issued solely for market research information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation (e.g., Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ), etc.) nor an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services contained in this notice. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. In submitting a response, a Respondent is solely responsible and accountable for all expenses associated with its response.

Background
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is one of the 27 Institutes and Centers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The mission of the NIEHS is to discover how the environment affects people in order to promote healthier lives. NIEHS works to accomplish its mission by conducting and funding research on human health effects of environmental exposures, developing the next generation of environmental health scientists, and providing critical research, knowledge, and information to citizens and policy makers, to help in their efforts to prevent hazards exposures and reduce the risk of preventable disease and disorders connected to the environment.

Work Details
The task order aims to support the operation and maintenance of NIEHS IT systems, including all software and hardware associated with databases, servers, desktops, and networking. It also involves day-to-day operational aspects of the Data Center, supporting equipment/hosting, power, and access controls. The scope includes IT Operations and Maintenance, Program Management Support, Data Center Management, Engineering Support, Network Operations, Service Desk Support, Communications/Meetings/Events support.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) campus in Durham, North Carolina.
