Description

The contractor shall perform various commercial non-inherently governmental service functions and facilitate the uploading of key supporting documentation for property assets, creating fair market valuation documentation, processing excess equipment for re-use or disposition, and perform inventory functions. Provide assistance in receiving government equipment at the Naval Supply Warehouse located on the Monterey, California installation and assist in delivering government equipment to the PMD office or the end user also located in one of the fourteen buildings occupied by Naval Postgraduate School.

Background
The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) located in Monterey, California, supports the U.S. Navy and other military branches by providing postgraduate education and significant research capabilities to the Department of Defense.

The Property Management Department (PMD) within the Logistics Directorate manages and accounts for all personal property in the care of the university, including various equipment types such as air compressors, servers, and computers. The contractor will assist in managing this property effectively.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform various non-inherently governmental service functions including: facilitating the uploading of key supporting documentation for property assets; creating fair market valuation documentation; processing excess equipment for re-use or disposition; and performing inventory functions.

Specific tasks include:
1. Warehousing Operations:
- Cataloging and maintaining reusable property for pickup.
- Maintaining disposition and reuse logs in a government-approved format.
- Facilitating delivery lines for incoming government items and documenting formal acceptance.
- Scanning and uploading packing slips into a data share site.
- Compiling reports on stock handling equipment usage and inventory adjustments.
2. Inventory Operations:
- Uploading key supporting documentation (KSD) such as packing slips and purchase orders.
- Maintaining a reusable excessed equipment database.
- Processing hand receipts from excess property.
- Maintaining accurate custody transfer logs for excess or storage transfers.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 12 months.

The contract will be performed at the Naval Supply Warehouse located on the Monterey, California installation, as well as at various locations within one of the fourteen buildings occupied by NPS.
