Background
The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, which aims to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans. Work Details
The contractor will provide Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) Laboratory Proficiency Testing Services, which include proficiency testing in various laboratory specialties such as Microbiology, Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Virology, Diagnostic Immunology, Syphilis Serology, General Immunology, Chemistry, Routine Chemistry, Endocrinology, Toxicology, Hematology & Coagulation, Immunohematology, and Cytology.

Each laboratory site within the VHA must have a proficiency testing program that complies with federal regulations including 42 U.S.C. 263a and 42 C.F.R. Part 493. The services provided must ensure that all participating laboratories meet the necessary standards for operation and patient care.
