Notice of Sole Source Award for Federal Facilities Council (FFC) Membership   2

Background
The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Services (PBS), Office of Design and Construction, has awarded a sole source professional services contract to the National Academy of Sciences' Federal Facilities Council (FFC). The FFC was established in 1953 and operates under the auspices of the Board on Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment (BICE) of the National Research Council, the principal operating agency of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and the National Academy of Engineering. The FFC's mission is to identify and advance technologies, processes, and management practices that improve the performance of federal facilities over their entire life-cycle, from planning to disposal.

Work Details
The contract requires the development of technical studies focused on federal facilities. It also involves planning, organizing, and convening one or multi-day workshops on federal facilities, as well as roundtables on topics such as real property mandates, implementation strategies, business cases concerning federal facilities, design and construction, operations, costs, and data requirements. The FFC promotes continuing cooperation and regular interchanges of information among participating federal agencies and between the agencies and other elements of the facilities engineering and management community.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract includes a base year from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, with option years extending from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025; October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026; and October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations as required for workshops, roundtables, meetings, technical information activities, and networking organized by the FFC's standing committees.
