NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE - Applied Wayfinding

Background
The Library of Congress has awarded a sole source contract to Applied Wayfinding for comprehensive wayfinding signage services as part of the Visitor Experience Master Plan initiative. The Library previously had a contract with Applied Wayfinding for wayfinding services, and it has been determined that additional wayfinding design services are needed to augment the existing services. The contract period is from 9/29/2021 to 12/31/2025.

Work Details
The Library requires various supplies and services, including outdoor and indoor wayfinding signage such as plaza signs, orientation signs, information signs, visitor floor maps, icons, and pamphlets. These services are essential for the Visitor Experience Master Plan project, which has phased openings through 2025. The justification for awarding the contract without full and open competition is based on the unique capabilities of Applied Wayfinding to provide continuous aesthetic design and time-sensitive services that are integral to the overall aesthetic design of the Visitor Experience Master Plan project.
