The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, Rock Island, IL 61299, awarded a modification to Option Year Two that is Firm-Fixed-Price, Time-and-Materials, and Cost-No-Fee, to IAP Worlwide Services, Inc .. , under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(l), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, for Satelite Communications (SATCOM) Support Services. Sources sought notice W52P1J-21-SOURCES_SOUGHT-SATCOM was issued on July 22, 2021. As described at FAR 6.302-l(a)(2)(iii)(A) and FAR 6.302-l(a)(2)(iii)(B), for DoD, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Coast Guard, services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and when it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements.
