Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Gravois Aluminum Boats, LLC dba Metal Shark   2

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis. In accordance with FAR part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for these parts.

The proposed source is Gravois Aluminum Boats, LLC. dba Metal Shark, 6814 E. Admiral Doyle Drive, Jeanerette, LA 70544. The requirement is for the purchase of parts to support the 24' Special Purpose Craft-Shallow Water (SPC-SW), 26' Trailerable Aids to Navigation Boat (TANB) and the 29' Gen II Response Boat Small (RBS). The duration of this contract will be 5 years from date of award. The award will be FOB Destination, with delivery orders to be fulfilled within sixty (60) calendar days of receipt from the Government. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5.

This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote will be issued to Gravois Aluminum Boats, LLC dba Metal Shark and awarded within approximately Ten (10) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement. The approved Justification and Approval, (J&A), for this requirement will be posted following the award of this requirement.
