Notice of Intent to Sole Source Chicago Soft

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Chicago Soft, Ltd, located at 1820 E. Edgewood Dr, Suite 103, Lakeland, FL 33803 for the purchase of renewing commercial software Chicago-Soft, Inc.'s MVS/QuickRef software tool product. The requirement will have a Period of Performance (PoP) is for three years consisting of a base period of one-year with two (2) one-year option periods. This software is proprietary and Chicago Soft, Ltd, is the sole source provider. In addition, Chicago Soft has exclusive rights and does not authorize resellers or other entities to maintain it.

The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) "Soliciting from a Single Source." Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill this requirement.

This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
