Description

USAID/Kosovo hereby provides notice of its intention to modify Contract 72016720C00001, also known as the Compete Activity, by increasing the Total Estimated Cost (TEC) of the award by $4 million, with the Contractor: Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. This changes the current TEC of $12,478,811 (including maximum award fee) to a revised TEC of $16,478,881 (including maximum award fee). No extension of the existing performance period of August 12, 2020 to August 11, 2025 is requested, and no change in activity scope of work is requested.

Background
The Compete Activity, also known as Contract 72016720C00001, is a USAID initiative in Kosovo aimed at fostering industry growth and job creation in the sectors of Wood Processing, Food Processing, and Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). The current contract with Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. has a Total Estimated Cost (TEC) of $12,478,811 (including maximum award fee), with a performance period from August 12, 2020 to August 11, 2025.

Work Details
Under the proposed modification, the Contractor will utilize an additional $4 million in funding to deepen technical assistance to the Wood Processing sector by expanding into an additional sub-sector: prefabricated buildings/modular homes. This expansion aligns with the current scope of the Compete Activity and aims to achieve sustainable impact and growth in Kosovo's private sector. The activities to be completed by the Contractor remain in line with the current scope of the Compete Activity.

Period of Performance
The existing performance period for Contract 72016720C00001 is from August 12, 2020 to August 11, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Kosovo.
