Notice of Intent to Award Sole Sources- Lease of Sterile Processing Department

Background
The Fort Cavazos Health Contracting Branch is issuing this contract to address the urgent need for sterile processing services at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC).

The mission of CRDAMC is to ensure patient safety and maintain surgical schedules by providing essential medical services. This contract aims to lease the sterile processing department from Seton Medical Center, which is critical due to ongoing equipment failures at CRDAMC's own facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide access to the Seton Medical Center’s sterile processing department (SPD) for CRDAMC.

This includes the cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment. The service is necessary due to recurring equipment failures at CRDAMC that threaten patient safety and could lead to the cancellation of critical surgeries. Seton Medical Center is uniquely positioned as it has a memorandum of agreement with CRDAMC and possesses the required certified SPD infrastructure.

The services will be performed at Seton Medical Center located at 850 W Central Texas Expy Bldg HOSP, Harker Heights, Texas 76548-1890.
