Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source/Request for Information Outside Plant Services

The 48th Contracting Squadron (48 CONS) at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom, intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with British Telecom Federal Inc. (BT Federal: CAGE 1NKL9) for Outside Plant Services.

This requirement is conducted under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals.

The 48th Contracting Squadron seeks feedback from companies/entities capable of providing Outside Plant Services. A key element to this request for information is access to the physical infrastructure that is owned and maintained by British Telecom (BT). Firms who want to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition as an authorized service provider for this equipment. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. Such authorization would include documentation on if your company is a BT approved Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) contractor that could work in the BT ducts if you were given access.
