Notice of Intent - Sole Source- Haivision Enterprise Media Platform

Background
The U.S. Consulate General Hermosillo intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Superior Access Solutions Inc for the Haivision enterprise media platform. This technology is essential for transmitting low-latency video over OpenNet, which is critical for the operations of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico and its outlying consulates.

Superior Access Solutions Inc is recognized as Haivision's only reseller for State Department video applications, and the Contracting Officer has determined that awarding this contract to them is in the Government's best interest due to their unique qualifications and established relationship with the State Department.

Work Details
The contract involves the acquisition of the Haivision enterprise media platform, which includes:
- HMP enterprise appliance
- 1 Portal server
- 1 Gateway server
- Aware gateway
- MakitoX21 Chassis
- Makito X Sing DVI encoder appliances
- Media gateway system
- Haivision Play2000-C Set Top Boxes
- Haivision IPTV Transcoder
- eCDN.
This solution is entirely IP-driven, enhancing security through encryption of all video content. It supports various functionalities including internal Town Halls, extending VTC reach to wall displays and desktop PCs, providing public affairs information, live and video-on-demand services, video-oriented training for staff, IPTV and news monitoring, digital signage, and unifying communication across all consulates in-country.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and its outlying consulates.
