Description

Notice of Intent to Single-Source: The 49th Contracting Squadron (CONS)
Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico intends to issue a single-source
award to MGX Equipment Services LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302-
1(a)(2).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However,
all responsible sources may submit a capability statement for the
Government to review. The Government will consider responses received
by the deadline set in this notice. Information received will normally be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to
conduct a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set
aside competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any
information received in response to this announcement. The associated
North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this
procurement is 811310, with a small business size standard of 900 Employees. A
determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to
this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Background
The 49th Contracting Squadron (CONS) at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, intends to issue a single-source award to MGX Equipment Services LLC. This contract is aimed at procuring essential parts for the maintenance and operation of the 50 Ton Grove Crane used by the 704 Test Group. The Government has determined that no small business opportunities exist for this requirement as the authorized supplier is classified as a large business.

Work Details
The contractor shall deliver parts necessary to replace and maintain the 50 Ton Crane at 704 Test Group. The specific tasks include:

1. Replace transmission filter;
2. Replace primary fuel filter;
3. Replace primary air filter;
4. Replace secondary air filter;
5. Replace breather/crankcase filter;
6. Replace oil filter;
7. Replace fuel/water separator;
8. Replace hydraulic filter;
9. Replace canister pump assembly (12V);
10. Replace winch hoist assembly; and
11. Freight cost (estimate only).

The use of OEM parts is justified due to their design specifications ensuring compatibility and performance within the crane system.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in New Mexico, specifically servicing the needs of the Holloman Air Force Base.
