Notice of Intent of Sole Source Award to NIC Technologies for Electronic Copyright Claims Boards

This Post-Award Synopsis/Notice of Award serves to document the award announcement via SAM.gov. NIC Technologies, Arlington, Virginia, was awarded a $2,771,158.41 Firm Fixed Priced contract on April 13, 2023 for the hosting and licensing services for the electronic filing and case management system that supports the Copyright Claims Board (eCCB). The work to be performed include licensing and cloud hosting services with maintenance, updates, and customer support for the eCCB system. The work performed under the contract will be done remotely. At the time of the award, $897,490.50 was obligated for the base year of the contract.

Market research was previously conducted and it was determined that this is a sole source requirement per FAR 6.302-1, therefore, this contract was not competitively procured via SAM.gov. This procurement was awarded under authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
