Notice of Intent American Thermoform Corporation Hardware Maintenance

Background
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is seeking to procure maintenance services for four Braillo braille embossers used within the IRS Alternative Media Center (AMC) facility.

The IRS Media and Publications organization (M&P) is responsible for supporting the information technology needs related to authoring, publishing, and distribution functions. The embossers are critical for producing Braillo braille tax products for both public and internal use, directly impacting the M&P's ability to deliver essential products during the tax season. Without proper maintenance support, the office cannot address hardware failures effectively.

Work Details
The contract includes comprehensive maintenance services for the Braillo braille embossers, which encompass alignment, cleaning, and inspection of all hardware components.

Additionally, it covers replacement or repair of all necessary parts and travel costs to the IRS Alternative Media Center (AMC) facility. The maintenance services are essential as Braillo embosser parts and service are sole source products that can only be provided by American Thermoform Corporation, which manufactures, sells, distributes, and services these products exclusively in North America.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a 12-month base period followed by four 12-month option periods.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the IRS Alternative Media Center (AMC) facility.
