Background
The Vicksburg District (MVK) has determined that a consolidation of contract requirements is necessary and justified for FY22 Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for the Lease of Cutterhead, Hydraulic Pipeline Dredges (Not Less than 24-Inch Diameter), Fully Operated with Attendant Plant and Personnel, with a Draft Not to Exceed 9 Feet, for Construction and Maintenance Dredging within the Vicksburg District or Other Districts within the Mississippi Valley Division.

Work Details
The contract involves the lease of cutterhead, hydraulic pipeline dredges not less than 24-inch diameter, fully operated with attendant plant and personnel, with a draft not to exceed 9 feet, for construction and maintenance dredging within the Vicksburg District or other districts within the Mississippi Valley Division. The contract aims to consolidate task orders under MATOC to generate labor savings and significant savings in mobilization and demobilization costs.
The proposed strategy aims to increase efficiency in meeting the mission to restore channel depths after shoaling is identified. The average bid price for mob/demob for a leased cutterhead dredge is $1,000,000.00. The contract also includes mobilizing the entire dredge and plant from project to project at a per mile rental rate.

The period of performance for this contract spans over five years.

The geographic locations where construction projects will be performed include Rosedale Harbor, Yellow Bend Port, Greenville Harbor, Lake Providence Port, Madison Parish Port, Vicksburg Harbor, Claiborne County Harbor, JBJ Waterway, and the Ouachita-Black Rivers.
