Notice of Award for AUS-Coded Navigators for Australian Triton Unmanned Aircraft   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, has awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price modification to Contract N00019-19-C-0008 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, San Diego, CA, on a sole source basis for non-recurring (NRE) & recurring tasks required to upgrade and procure new Australian country-coded navigation hardware to support Australian Triton Unmanned Aircraft and subsequent aircraft operations post-delivery.

This modification was awarded on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only one Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements". NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS and is the only responsible source possessing the engineering data; technical skills; and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, and operational characteristics of the MQ-4C UAS required to perform the necessary follow-on production efforts within the required timeframes and without substantial duplication of costs.
