North Calais IA - LPOE Roof Replacement   2

Background
The General Service Administration (GSA) has identified the need to remove and replace the TPO roof of the commercial building located at the Calais IA LPOE due to severe wind damage. Following multiple inspections, it has been confirmed that a total roof replacement is necessary.

This project is a HUBZone complete set-aside for Penobscot, Aroostook, and Washington Counties in Maine, requiring participating firms to be certified as HUBZone Small Business Concerns by the SBA.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Conducting kick-off meetings and bi-weekly meetings;
2) Obtaining all necessary state and local permits;
3) Removing existing parapet wall grounding rods and top flashing, salvaging reusable materials;
4) Removing wood and concrete pavers used for securing TPO membrane;
5) Removing TPO roofing, Dens Deck, and insulation panels with proper disposal;
6) Allowing for inspection of roof deck and parapet wall post-removal;
7) Installing approximately 30,400 sqft of air and vapor barrier;
8) Installing approximately 30,400 sqft of rigid panel insulation;
9) Installing approximately 30,400 sqft of prime dens deck with tapered insulation for proper drainage;
10) Installing approximately 31,100 sqft of Thermoplastic Polyolefin Roofing (minimum 60 mil);
11) Providing top flashing around parapet walls using a Perma Tite coping clip system;
12) Installing grounding rods and wires, finishing all penetrations; and
13) Conducting final site walk with GSA for project closeout.
